Phillip is the co-founder of Articus, as well as the TriCity Centre for Circus Arts (Waterloo Region’s first and only circus centre). He has helmed numerous award-winning productions, including: WEIRD (Playwright, Director, Fight Director), which toured to theatres, schools, and festivals from 2015-2020 and showcased at Ontario Contact 2018; ROUGH MAGIC (Playwright, Actor, Fight Director); SHIPWRECKED (Playwright, Actor, Fight Director); and THE LUMBERJACK SHOW, THE AERIAL PIRATE SHOW and CAMP ARTICUS -- Articus’ three critically acclaimed outdoor touring productions. His performing credits include working with the Stratford Festival, CBC Radio, & Humber River Shakespeare. He is also the creator, host, and producer of the podcast Dark River: Spooky Stories of a Small Town, which features original haunting short stories about a fictional small town in Northern Ontario at the turn of the century, and can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and many other streaming platforms. He graduated from the University of Windsor’s BFA in Acting program with Distinction, is an Advanced Actor Combatant with Full Distinction (FDC), as well as the recipient of the Rapier Wit Award, a Tyrone Guthrie Award (Stratford Festival), Grants for Dark River and to produce WEIRD (Region of Waterloo Arts Fund), and a Theatre Creators’ Reserve grant (Ontario Arts Council) for ROUGH MAGIC.

Lindsay Bellaire is the president and co-owner of Articus, a circus-based entertainment company based in Waterloo Region. As a classically trained actor (BFA in Acting, University of Windsor) and a professional aerialist, her work as a performer and creator focuses on using aerial arts as a tool for storytelling. She has co-created and produced six shows under Articus, including Rough Magic, Shipwrecked, The Lumberjack Show, Rigged, Camp Articus, and the company’s longest running flagship show, WEIRD, which toured theatre festivals and venues from 2015 - 2020, earning awards at several Fringe Festivals and showcasing at Ontario Contact in 2018. Lindsay also co-owns the TriCity Centre for Circus Arts in Waterloo Region, a studio dedicated to fostering creative expression through circus arts. Before founding the studio, she trained at the Toronto School of Circus Arts and other circus schools in the GTA, became a certified Instructor of Circus Arts through l’Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, and designed and taught aerial programs in Toronto, Muskoka, and Waterloo. As an aerialist she has performed her acts at festivals and events across Ontario, including Dundas International Buskerfest, Toronto International Buskerfest, and a tour to China with Creativiva in 2015. After enduring two years of lockdowns that pummeled the theatre and entertainment industry, she continues to create, perform, and produce new acts and shows independently, and for Articus.
